Thriving Poppy Floral- Sticker

According to the Oxford Dictionary, the word “thrive” means to grow, flourish, and prosper. In this medical world that I live in, the word “thriving” means a lot of different things to everyone. Through my cancer journey, I have often felt like I am not thriving. I feel like I am hanging on by a thread most days! But thriving can also be a mindset. Although some of us are not completely thriving physically, we can still be mentally strong and have flourishing outlook on life.

When I was getting my stem cell transplant in Stanford last September, I had many requests from my nurses to create a poppy themed design. The California poppy is the state flower of California. This poppy design is my take on what it means to thrive.
